At times, when a pupil may have become very upset or irritated, the ability to use a safe space for a child or young adult to calm down is an invaluable aid. Using a Safe Space or Time Out Room will prevent injury to the child, avoid potential injury to other students, prevent injury to staff and minimise damage to the school building.
